With her wealth of experience as a successful published author, Marion has launched this website to promote her books as well as being a means to help others become successful writers. Here she hopes to convey the rewarding pleasure of good writing, the use of correct English and the creative approach to producing work that is valued and commands respect from one’s readers. Hopefully, by using this website, you can educate yourself to be more proficient in written English for business, academia, general communication and other forms of artistic expression.
Marion took early retirement as Head of English in a large comprehensive school to concentrate on her writing. She has had a number of articles published in a variety of magazines and her fifteenth book, “The Story Of Guildford”, was published by Phillimore in 2011. Her main books to date are biography and local history.
Passionate about English language, Marion has also written several books to encourage readers to improve their writing skills. For a fee, she offers a ‘manuscript criticism’ to writers as she enjoys helping other people as she has been helped.
Marion has given talks to and run 'Creative Workshops' for a variety of groups including sessions on cruise ships.
